1. God loves you and knows your greatest need.

John 3:16 'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.'

2. Realize that no one is good.

Romans 3:10 'As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one.'

3. See yourself as God sees you (a sinner).

Romans 3:23 'For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.'

4. Notice God's price on sin.

Romans 6:23 'For the wages of sin is death; but, the gift of God, is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord,'

Revelation 21:8 "But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murders and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death.'

5. Understand that Christ died for you.

Romans 5:8 'But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

2 Corinthians 5:21 'For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.'

6. Take God at His Word.

Romans 10:9, 10, & 13 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.'

Ephesians 2:8 & 9 "For by grace are ye saved, through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.'
